Baton Rouge Associate, Micah Gautreaux, and the firm's Managing Partner, Mr. Sidney W. Degan, III, offered a presentation on Additional Insured claims made under Vendor's Endorsements in Products Liability cases. The presentation was made during the Primerus Products Liability Symposium in Chicago, Illinois and was attended by underwriting, claims and legal professionals from across the United States.

The seminar included legal developments and updates on the areas of Seaman Status, Longshoreman Claim Subrogation Rights, and the Marcel Exception to the Louisiana Oilfield Anti-Indemnity Act. The seminar was attended by numerous industry professionals and legal practitioners.

The firm is pleased to announce that New Orleans Associate Nicholas J. Cenac has been appointed as the Co-Chair of the Louisiana Bar Association’s Legal Services for Persons with Disabilities Committee (LSPDC). Mr. Cenac has been involved with this committee since 2010, when he served as the President of Tulane Law School’s Disability and Health Law Society. The LSPDC strives to provide members of the bench, bar and the general public with a greater understanding and knowledge of the legal needs and rights of persons with disabilities; to better meet the legal needs of persons with disabilities, and to increase the knowledge that persons with disabilities have regarding their rights and resources.
Mr. Cenac is also a recent graduate from the Bryan Bell Metropolitan Leadership Forum organized by the Committee for a Greater New Orleans. The Forum seeks to identify emerging community leaders and stimulate their interest and involvement in community service.

The American Cancer Society's Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge is a unique "home away from home" for those who need warm, caring, no-cost accommodations during their cancer treatment at a New Orleans area medical facility. On a recent Monday night, several of our attorneys volunteered to cook a New Orleans classic, red beans and rice, and serve the meal to the Hope Lodge cancer residents and their families. The firm is proud to recognize attorneys, Jeff Brennan, Karl Schmid, Stephanie Cheralla, Renee Smith Auld, Charles Long, Jill Menard, Nick Cenac, and Richard Schwerdtfeger who joined Managing Partner, Sidney W. Degan III, for volunteering their time for this worthy cause.
