Kristin M. Lausten
Kristin M. Lausten is an associate with Degan, Blanchard & Nash in the Baton Rouge office.
Ms. Lausten graduated from the William H. Bowen School of Law 2010. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas in 2005 where she obtained a degree in Criminal Justice, Developmental Psychology and Medical Anthropology.
Ms. Lausten is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Arkansas and Louisiana. She has also been admitted to practice Pro Hac Vice in various matters pending before federal courts in New Jersey and New York.
At Degan, Blanchard & Nash, Ms. Lausten’s practice includes the defense of matters focusing primarily on property and casualty, complex commercial and corporate litigation, including matters involving product liability, environmental litigation, insurance coverage, automobile and commercial trucking, marine, energy and other business disputes. She has represented clients in state and federal courts throughout the country, and in all phases of litigation, including pretrial investigations, motion practice, trial and appeals. Ms. Lausten also has experience representing clients in federal multidistrict litigation proceedings in various coordinated court actions.
Ms. Lausten also has experience resolving disputes through alternative dispute resolution and has represented clients in both mediations and settlement negotiations. In addition to being a member of the State Bar of Arkansas and the State Bar of Louisiana, Ms. Lausten also has her Arkansas mediator’s certification.
