Neely Sharp Griffith
Neely Sharp Griffith is Of Counsel with Degan, Blanchard & Nash. Ms. Griffith's practice focuses on insurance coverage and business litigation. Ms. Griffith has handled a number of cases at both the trial and appellate levels. She is admitted to practice in Louisiana, all Louisiana federal courts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Ms. Griffith graduated magna cum laude from Rhodes College in 1999. She graduated magna cum laude and order of the coif from Tulane Law School in 2002. During law school, she served on the editorial board of the Tulane Law Review as Senior Notes and Comments Editor. She also earned a Civil Law Certificate and an Arbitration Certificate. After law school, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Ivan L.R. Lemelle, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and, later, for the Honorable Jacques L. Wiener, Jr., United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Ms. Griffith has taught at Loyola Law School, been a lecturer at Tulane Law School on trial and appellate procedure and practice, and served as house-counsel for a local non-profit. Ms. Griffith has also obtained mediation and negotiation certification from Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute, the number one ranked dispute resolution program in the country. She is also actively involved in civic and charitable organizations, and most recently served as an appointed member of the Louisiana Advisory Committee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights. When she is not practicing, she devotes her time to her family, St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church, and Louise S. McGehee School.
